Pleasantrees is a Michigan-based, vertically integrated cannabis brand. As the Creative Director, I helped steward Pleasantrees from a small start-up to a national brand. Over the course of a year, we launched seven dispensaries in multiple states and brought several top-tier products to market, overcoming substantial legal and licensing hurdles in the process. It is illegal to feature any cannabis imagery in advertising. What’s not illegal is taking a stock photo of a tree and blurring it to the point that it resembles a cannabis bud. So that’s what we did, much to the chagrin of our lawyers and amusement of our customers.
Detroit Thermal operates a district energy network in the city, including almost 40 miles of underground steam pipes that provide service to many of Detroit's best known buildings, including Cobo Hall, the DMC and the Renaissance Center.
